From August 8 to August 13, 2023, Bao Son Investment, Trade, and Tourism Joint Stock Company welcomed a volunteer student delegation from Gyeongsangbuk Province, South Korea, to Vietnam for a cultural exchange and volunteer experience.

In response to the development of the “Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and South Korea,” Bao Son Travel accompanied a delegation of 31 students, 11 teachers, and officials from the Department of Education of Gyeongsangbuk Province in organizing a meaningful series of experiential programs in Hanoi in early August. The delegation engaged in cultural exchanges with students from Nguyen Sieu High School and Dai Nam University. Both sides shared insights into Vietnamese and Korean cultures through special activities such as pottery-making at Bat Trang Ceramic Village and watching a traditional water puppet performance.

Additionally, the delegation had a memorable sightseeing day in Ninh Binh, immersing themselves in the rich cultural heritage and breathtaking natural scenery of the ancient capital Hoa Lu and the Tam Coc – Bich Dong tourist area.

Especially, the students visited the Hanoi Center for Nurturing Disabled Children and set up cultural experience booths for the children being cared for there, bringing a meaningful conclusion to the program.

As part of the program, the students carried out an environmental cleanup campaign by picking up trash around Hoan Kiem Lake with the participation of students from Nguyen Sieu High School and the street in front of the entrance to Duong Lam Ancient Village, Ha Tay. In Duong Lam, they also engaged in meaningful cultural activities, restoring old tiles to create artistic works. Here, there will be a Vietnam-Korea cultural space, so that when tourists visit, they will gain a deeper understanding of the cultural cooperation between Vietnam and Korea. Additionally, the delegation donated trash bins and benches to Duong Lam Village during their visit.

The program not only provides an opportunity for the students to meet and interact with their peers, learn about, and experience the cultural and historical values of Vietnam, in alignment with the tourism cooperation and people-to-people exchanges under the Vietnam-Korea strategic partnership, but also serves as an opportunity for them to engage with social responsibility and environmental protection. It is also a chance for the students to explore famous historical and cultural landmarks of the country and experience the life and customs of the S-shaped land.
